    Introduction

The Asia/Pacific workplace is changing rapidly as users move at lightning speed to adopt new innovative ways to put more  of  their  personal  and  professional  lives  on  mobile  devices.  The transformation  of  mobile  devices  and  new models of utilization are forcing organizations to go beyond the question of whether they need mobility and instead ask how they should be utilizing mobility.

The end user driven mobile movement is just the catalyst of transforming a traditional desktop centric enterprise to a highly agile, mobility-first organization. A mobile-first enterprise can expect tangible improvements in the way it interact with their employees, customers and partners by raising employee productivity, improving customer relationships and satisfaction,  and  streamlining  business  processes  and  operations.   Additionally,  mobility  is  the  platform  where companies  can  continuously  deliver  innovations  that  differentiate  themselves  in  this  highly  competitive,  hyper connected world.

The challenges in highly complex mobility environment are plenty and IDC had identified following core issues that impact IT decision makers and service providers alike:

Strategy:  Maintaining status quo is a recipe for failure. Mobility Strategy needs to address immediate issues as well
as long term mobility growth planning, with milestones, KPIs firmly in place

Mobile  Centric  Security:  Mobile  security  is  not  just  about  device  management  anymore.  Mobile  centric  security
means end to end security solution for mobility that include device, app, data/content security as well as ensuring the
network is well protected against attacks from mobile devices

Application utilization: Unrestricted mobile app usage is not only insecure, but also inefficient. Mobile business apps
will become the engine that drive mobility growth in any organization, and proper planning and execution of mobile
app management and utilization should be on any CIO’s mobility checklist

Devices:  BYOD kicked off the enterprise mobility movement, and it continue to do so. However, organizations cannot
expect BYOD to be their long term or only device strategy as there are just too many limitations to the BYOD model.
Organizations will need adopt the choose your own device (CYOD) model to retain management and secure, as well
as drive measureable improvements from device utilization

User segmentation: Mobility is not one size fits all, neither are the users. Organizations need to analyze user behaviour and deliver segmented services to ensure full mobile utilization

This leading regional conference series promises to bring together the industries best solution providers and senior IT executives to create a platform to share the latest mobility developments and how to develop a meaningful comprehensive mobility strategy that is secure, social and optimizes the business and its customers.
